"The elliptical has the smallest footprint of any I've seen which is exactly what I need for my small NYC apartment. It's sturdy. The steps are big so you can feel it working your legs. It's a great basic elliptical. If you want a good workout this machine will work. If you want a lot of fancy options, you probably want a more expensive model. My only complaints with this machine are that the heart monitor doesn't seen to read correctly and since this machine can also turn into a stepper it has knobs on the front of each glide-my left one gets a little loose from time to time and needs to be retightened. Not a huge deal but I hope I can find a way to fix it. This machine fits all my needs. I'm glad i bought it and would look at other Smooth products in the future."

"I owned a Life Fitness x3 model for 8 years. It was smoother and quieter that the CE 3.6. However, it also cost twice as much. I recently moved across country and wanted an eliptical that fit in a small bedroom. This unit fit the bill. Assembly directions were good. It took me 2.5 hours to put it together. Anyone who is mechanically inclined can put it together in less time. The unit is relatively quiet and has smooth action for the price. I am 6'2", 200lbs, and this unit feels stable. I have not used the stair stepper option as yet. I bought the CE 3.6 about 3 months ago, use it 3x/week. No problems at this time. So far, it has met all of my expectations."
