Nine Challenging Preset Programs
Exercise pros know that varying your workouts is an important strategy to reaching your fitness goals. When routines are repeated too frequently, two things tend to happen. Your body may plateau because it retains a "memory" or becomes too familiar with the program you're following. Also, you may lose enthusiasm for exercising which will delay the achievement of your goals.
With nine challenging preset programs to choose from, you'll look forward to your elliptical workouts. Choose a different program with every session to keep your body and attitude refreshed. Each is customizable to meet your personal fitness level.
- Program One - Target Time - Choose the preset time or adjust it to your preference. Increase or decrease resistance while in motion for added fitness benefits.
- Program Two - Target Distance - This program gives you the flexibility to select your own target distance. For customized interval training, simply increase or decrease the resistance level at will.
- Program Three - Target Calories - If you've set goals based on calorie counts, this program will benefit you most. Simply enter the number of calories you want to burn and begin. Adjust the resistance level at any time to meet your needs.
- Program Four - Random - The ultimate in variety. The random sequence has 50 different programs to keep your body and your attitude in tune. Burn more calories and tone more muscle with the preset resistance levels. Or increase or decrease the settings at will to create your own personalized routines.
- Program Five - Fat Burning - Exercising for longer periods of time at a reduced level of intensity encourages your body to burn calories and fat faster. Preset levels are optimal for this routine, but are completely customizable to suit any fitness level.
- Program Six - Automatic Interval - Increase heart rate and improve cardiovascular functions with higher intensity routines then cool down. The eight intervals within this program offer great balance between cardio, fat burning and muscle toning. Each of the eight intervals can be adjusted at will.
- Program Seven - Endurance - Starting in warm-up mode, the endurance program gradually increases in intensity to burn fat and calories and build stamina. The program ends with a cooling down period. Each of the eight levels is adjustable.
- Program Eight - WATT Control - Use the preset WATT level or set your own. Resistance changes automatically during this routine, but can be adjusted if needed.
- Program Nine - Target Heart Rate - An excellent cardio workout. This program consists of a Warm-up, Main Program and Cool Down. The elliptical machine determines a preset maximum target heart rate based upon your sex, height, weight and age, or you can adjust it to whatever maximum target workout rate you want. (This should be subject to the user's physical condition and determined after consulting with a physician.) Once you start, the program takes you through a mild warm-up routine, through a powerful workout and through a cool-down phase for a complete cardio program. All settings are customizable.
